Instructor

Dan Cabaniss is an Associate Professor of English and Journalism at Gainesville State College Oconee in Watkinsville, Georgia.  He holds a B.A. in English from Harvard University and an M.A. in English from the University of Georgia, and he studied film history and criticism at the University of Southern California.  He was a journalist prior to becoming an educator, working as a reporter and editor at a variety of newspapers, including the Atlanta Journal-Constitution.  He spent four years teaching English at Kyungsung University in Pusan, Korea, and he has traveled widely in Asia, Europe, and North and South America.
